A party for Wild Brew’s 2013 Wild Brew Spelt Saison beer

Last night Wild Brew held its release party at Fassler Hall, 304 S Elgin Ave. Tulsa for the 2013 Wild Brew Spelt Saison beer. This beer was made in a collaboration between Fellowship of Ale Makers (FOAM) and Prairie Artisan Ales and is brewed at Choc Beer Company in Krebs.
In the video FOAM member and recipe collaborator Jeffrey Swearengin talks about the Belgian Saison style and the flavor of this Spelt.
Prairie Artisan Ales brewmaster Chase Healey cut the top off the bottle to start off the evening of samples. There were plenty in attendance and a line formed for the brew till it was gone.
This years Wild brew beer and food tasting event will be held on July 27, 2013 from 5pm till 8 pm at Tulsa Expo Square’s Central Park Hall. For info and to buy tickets go to there site: wildbrew.org
I have attended most of the Wild Brew events and remember back to the beginnings when it was held inside the Millionaire airport hanger at Tulsa International airport without air conditioning on a day when the temperature was 100+ degrees outside and only slightly cooler inside, but the beer was cold and there were plenty of great brews to try along with great food from our fair city. Which is why this event continues to be successful year after year.
Wild Brew benefits The Sutton Center, an internationally recognized leader in avian conservation and research.
